This was a busy summer for PJN Photography, LLC; to the point where my blogging has been delayed. However I plan to do a number of entries in the coming weeks to show some of the great weddings, the portraits, and some of my personal work. August began with a bang! Brandon has been a friend of mine since high school, he also has been in two other weddings that I photographed in the past.
When he introduced me to his (then girlfriend) Annie, I knew they had something special forming; she was charming, funny, and had a real connection with Brandon. A little over a year later Brandon contacts me with news of his engagement and interest in me shooting his wedding. I accepted knowing that the celebration would not only be beautiful but the opportunity to photograph a couple with such a great dynamic and chemistry was too great to pass up.
Brandon and Annie wanted to start off with a first look shoot. Haven't had many couples who want to see each other before the ceremony but this was a unique opportunity to capture a great moment of anticipation and emotion that can often be difficult to capture during the ceremony, but here it was just the two of them in an intimate moment and myself on the side.

The ceremony was relaxed, beautiful, and the clouds broke just as they recited their vows
The tears were streaming
Then it was time for the reception full of food, fun, dance and surprises including an engagement! Just great moment after great moment.
