Court's Guest Post: Cindy and Chris, a September Wedding

It was a pleasure photographing Cindy and Chris's wedding together. Cindy is my sister-in-law's sister-in-law's sister.  Follow that?

The wedding was in Bloomingburg, NY and it was a beautiful warm September day.  Cindy and Chris scheduled it so that they would be able to see each other and take portraits before the ceremony.  This let them enjoy cocktail hour with their guests after the wedding (If you're thinking about doing this, go for it.  Pete and I didn't get to see our cocktail hour and we keep hearing how amazing it was!!!).

The Eagle's Nest is set atop a mountain with beautiful views of rolling countryside, but there was also a cove of trees that we were able to escape to for some of the photographs.

Pete's style is constantly growing and evolving.  He's typically drawn to balanced, straight photography.  Recently, he's been experimenting with angles.  I believe that he's been able to make detail photographs that may seem somewhat standard (yet always beautiful) more engaging by doing this.
Cindy and Chris have been together since high school.  You could tell how comfortable they were with each other, which translated into the photographs.

This was my idea.  Pete took the photograph and chose the angle.
